This became a nickname of Eduaria "greesob" Ilyantov, a First Federation relativist trader. When his ship company several generations later was hired as linelayers for the Cepheus development, they took the chance of naming a few systems for their ancestors. The Greesob system would eventually become a significant local administrative center, eventually naming the entire sector.
