The Emblem of the Archosaurian Empire

The Archosaurian Empire lies in the volumes around and beyond Cluster M39 (often known as the Archaipelago), on the border between the Solar Dominion and the old Cygexpa volumes. A large region of space dominated by Panvirtuality entities can also be found nearby. More specifically, the name Archaipelago refers to the 122 loosely aligned Terragen systems within the M39 cluster. Since the collapse of Cygexpa, the Archosaurian Empire has become the most powerful faction in this sector.

The Archosaurian Empire - Data Panel

StatusInterstellar Empire
Tech LevelsTransapientech, Ultratech, Godtech
Kardashev LevelAt least 2.1
Established in present formThe Archosaurian Entity achieved 5th toposophic level in 9,400 AT and united all transapients in the Archaipelago Cluster (M39).
OriginsVarious habitat clusters constructed throughout the region, beginning with the Age of Expansion.
Ruling ArchailectThe Archosaurian Entity (5th toposophic), AKA ArchSaur, Toh Chi Lok-Malar (Mother of the Wise Dinosaur Race).
Capital SystemToh Chi Lok-Nar Habitat Cluster
Political SystemQuasi-socialist archailect protection alliance of various Archaitheocracies.

Cultural diversity and free expression is officially tolerated, regional micropolitical election is encouraged, yet archailect memetic control and martial law (via Toh Chi-led patrols) is considerable by Sephirotic standards. Every sapient species must have at least one spokesbeing to act as a facilitator between the sapient and transapient races.

The Empire has often been described as a smaller, more visibly structured version of the Utopia Sphere.

Number of Stellar States121 habitat clusters within the Archaipelago star cluster.
The Giant Ring of the Archsaur (under construction)
300 colonies within former Cygpexba territory.
98,724 smaller settlements.
Planetary colonies are rare; the earliest example was was destroyed by its own godling in 7400 AT, and since that time most of the population has been accommodated in space habitats.
Population135 billion physicals, more than 60 trillion virtuals

Physical Population Breakdown:

Bionts - 73% (41% nearbaseline human, 20% superbright human, 10% superbright dinosaur uplift, 1% other uplift, 0.6% rianth, 0.4% neogen)
Cyborgs - 1%
Sapient Ships - 1% (mostly fusion & amat)
Vecs & other Sapient Artificials - 23%
Transapients - 2% (this includes 0.4% postbiont and 0.1% transapient ships)

Number of high transapients: Close to one million. At least a hundred thousand are transapient capital ships.

Number of godlings: While this information is generally not revealed to sapients, it is believed to be well above one thousand. This includes the twelve godlings overseeing the Cygpexba colonies. It is also rumoured that all major virches are directly controlled by at least one godling or power, rather than run automatically by high- level software.

Number of basic archailects: 120
Points of InterestThe majority of human superbrights live within HeavenWatch. This polity was founded by thousands of human scientists and transapients who broke off from the Argus Project, under the leadership of a high transapient named ToneWatcher. The dispute was not understood by any sapients, but believed to be ideological in nature. ToneWatcher eventually became UrchinStar, HeavenWatch's ruling archailect, and continues to listen for messages from other galaxies.
The various dinosaur uplifts that constitute the Toh Chi Lok-Nar are all descendants of GEvidian's experiments. Now clearly the dominant polity, the Toh Chi Lok-Nar arrived ironically late on the scene. The first recorded contact with the polity was with HeavenWatch in 5439 AT.
Throughout the 6000's AT, the region acquired dozens of weylforges via trade with the Solar Dominion.
The Archaipelago Attacks of 8400 AT were a tremendous blow to the region's security (though not entirely unprecedented). It is widely believed that this incident led to the radical alteration of Toh Chi foreign policy and its eventual domination of the cluster and nearby settlements.
