Technology has innumerable uses and fields of application, of which only a few are shown here. Each of these represents a specialized application. In some cases it is technology that is relatively simple and can be understood by even a lowly modosophont; in other cases it is based on clarketech characteristics that can only be used and developed by high toposophic intelligences. Some of these technologies are useful and beneficial for ordinary sentients, while others are meant only for high toposophic powers and archai. Much is in the form of templates and meta-templates, in that even before nanoassembly can begin, the templates for the replicators themselves must be downloaded.
