This object, the only natural magnetar in the Terragen Sphere, was formed from the supernova explosion of the star Regor A (Gamma-2 Velorum A). This object has a hyperstrong magnetic field, currently reaching a strength of nine gigateslas, which is inclined at an angle of 30 degrees to the axis of rotation. The star itself has a temperature of 100,000 K but is slowly cooling.
This star and its surrounding energy field is extensively exploited by the venerable megacorp Vaneld AG and associated subcontractors. Using the hyperstrong field many types of exotic matter can be manufactured in bulk. If required a short burst of intense energy can be generated from this object by stimulating a carefully controlled microburst.
