Bat
Order of terragen flying mammals (Chiroptera), include both small nocturnal sonar-flying insect-eating forms, and larger diurnal fruit eaters (fruitbats), and splices and provolves thereof.
There are a number of provolves, although bats are not as popular as subjects of provolution as some mammalian families. Most chiropteran provolves live in the Utopia Sphere and there are a number of polities and communities, including the very impressive Bortreon Forest Orbitals and their sophont fruitbat inhabitants. An interesting variation is the NoCoZo Gothic Vampire Bat Uplift, actually more of a neogen than a true provolve, although incorporating large elements of authentic amazonian vampire bat genome. These are very popular with various goth groups as companion beings, and the genome does well also.
